About the Healthcare Revolving Loan Fund

The Revolving Loan Fund Program provides a range of funding to a broad spectrum of potential projects focused on improving access to primary health care in rural East Texas.

Loans Supporting Primary Healthcare in Rural East Texas include: clinic/hospital construction, equipment purchases, telemedicine projects, other capital expenditures, working capital, information systems, mobile health units, and engineering studies.

Eligible Businesses include: both for-profit and not-for-profit - including corporations, sole proprietorships, partnerships, 501 (C) 3's, and governmental entities.

Expected Loan Range generally varies from $25,000 to $150,000 based on certain project criteria. Funds will generally leverage up to 25% of the total project. Terms are flexible to meet project needs and to support other funding partner requirements.

Potential Loan Applicants include: primary health care professionals, rural hospitals, mobile health units, rural dental providers, rural primary mental health care providers, local and county governments, and other providers as approved by loan committee.

The program is funded in part by The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation; along with a USDA Rural Business Enterprise Grant; the North East Texas Economic Development District, Inc.; and participating regional banking institutions.
